In Norway, I founded a company called "Hovslager." In Norwegian, "hovslager" literally means "blacksmith." It couldn't have been simpler... One of the stable employees suggested this idea to me. Marketing has never been my strong suit, but I made up for it with my experience and innate love for horses. I didn't know Norwegian, and unfortunately, I still don't to this day... maybe just a few basic words. Fortunately, in Norway, most people speak fluent English, which I know perfectly well. This allowed me to make my first contacts. The language of horses is fortunately universal.

One day, I came to shoe one of the 30 horses from my first stable, which (a bit deceptively, taking advantage of the holiday season) I "acquired" shortly after arriving in Norway. Waiting for me was the dignified and unapproachable mare "Ingrid." She needed urgent intervention because her hooves were in a dire state. My first approach was a failure. The mare had no desire to cooperate whatsoever. It was a doubly stressful experience because as a new "farrier" in this stable, I was being watched by the stable owners. "Ingrid" was restless from the start and didn't even allow me to approach her. It was a deadlock... I wanted to prove myself to the new client, but I was dealing with an exceptionally distrustful horse (...).

HORSESHOEING

For over 10 years, I have been a professional farrier. I gained experience working with horses in Norway and Germany. I work using the latest technologies in the field of farriery. My main specialization is sport horses and full orthopedics. The structure of my work is based on a holistic assessment of the biomechanics of the horse, which directly affects the way I work with hooves.
